Allergy is defined as hypersensitivity to a certain element in the environment. Factor causing allergy is known as allergen. Common symptoms of an allergy are skin rashes, wheezing, sneezing and swelling. Allergies are treated by avoiding contact with the known allergens and medicines e.g. antihistamines.
